Gaming PC Deals in Canada

The graphics card usually matters most for gaming value, but cooling, power delivery and the rest of the system determine whether the deal is actually good.

Start with the game resolution and frame-rate target

A gaming PC for 1080p esports is a different purchase from a system intended for high-refresh 1440p or 4K gaming. Decide which monitor you will use, then choose a graphics-card class and processor that fit that target. Buying far more GPU than the display can use is not always better value.

Check the exact GPU—not only the series name

Gaming desktops can use graphics cards with very different performance levels even when their marketing names look similar. Also check video memory, cooling design and the power supply that supports the GPU. Thin gaming laptops require another layer of comparison because graphics power limits and cooling can change performance substantially.

GPUMatch it to resolution, refresh rate and game type.
CPUAvoid unnecessary high-end spend if the GPU will be the main limit.
RAM & SSD16 GB is mainstream; 32 GB can be useful for heavier multitasking and newer workloads.
Cooling & PSUThese affect sustained performance, noise and future upgrades.

Beware of impressive CPU + weak GPU combinations

Some prebuilt systems emphasize a premium processor while pairing it with a modest graphics card. That can be appropriate for CPU-heavy work, but for most gaming buyers the GPU has a larger effect on visual settings and frame rates. Compare benchmark data for the exact GPU and target games before deciding.

Prebuilt or build your own?

A prebuilt gives you one warranty and less setup work. A custom build provides more control over component quality, airflow, motherboard features and upgradeability. During a strong component sale, building can offer excellent value; during aggressive prebuilt promotions, the opposite can be true. Compare total cost including Windows, assembly time and warranty convenience.
