Discount percentage is not the same as value
A large percentage badge may be calculated from a reference price that is rarely paid. Compare the actual selling price of equivalent computers at several retailers. Also check whether the discounted configuration trims memory, storage, display quality, battery size or warranty coverage.
When computer sales are most common
Back-to-school periods, Black Friday and Boxing Day, manufacturer model transitions and clearance cycles often create more promotions. Business vendors may also run frequent coupon or bundle offers. There is no guarantee a specific model will be cheaper later, so use a target budget and specification rather than trying to predict the absolute lowest price.
Open-box, refurbished and previous-generation models
